Our Mission
The Hugh I. Shott, Jr., Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit corporation organized exclusively for charitable, religious, scientific, literary or educational purposes which has the primary goal of improving the social and economic quality-of-life in the original trade area of the Bluefield Daily Telegraph, which includes Mercer, McDowell, Raleigh, and Wyoming counties in southern West Virginia and Bland, Tazewell, and Buchannon counties in southwestern Virginia.
